1. Sam Curran: 18.50 crore

England Sam Curran, a young all-around player, was acquired by Punjab Kings for Rs 18.50 Cr. The most expensive player in IPL history is now Sam Curran.

2. Chris Morris: 16.25 crore

During the 2021 auction, Chris Morris was the most expensive acquisition in IPL history. A hefty INR 16.25 crore was offered by the Rajasthan Royals to hire the all-rounder.

Morris took 15 wickets in 11 games at the IPL 2021 while scoring 67 runs.

3. Yuvraj Singh: 16 crore

The title for the most-priced Indian signing in IPL auction history once belonged to Yuvraj Singh. Singh was acquired by Delhi Capitals in 2015 for INR 16 crore, breaking the bank.

In 14 matches that season, the all-arounder scored 248 runs and took one wicket.

4. Ishan Kishan: 15.25 crore

In the IPL 2022 auction, Ishan Kishan became the most expensive player. He was purchased by Mumbai Indians for Rs 15.25 crore.

5. Pat Cummins: 15.5 crore

Pat Cummins, an Australian all-rounder, was awarded a contract by the Kolkata Knight Riders worth INR 15.5 crore during the 2020 IPL Auction.

In 14 IPL 2020 games, the all-around fast bowler got 12 wickets and scored 146 runs.

6. Kyle Jamieson – 15 crore

After the Royal Challengers Bangalore paid a huge INR 15 crore bid at the IPL Auction in 2021, the New Zealand all-rounder Kyle Jamieson made his IPL debut in 2021.

Jamieson participated in nine games in the IPL 2021, recording 65 runs and nine wickets.

7. Ben Stokes – 14.5 crore

Ben Stokes was purchased by Rising Pune Supergiant for INR 14.5 crore during the 2017 IPL Auction.

Stokes scored 316 runs and took 12 wickets to earn the Man of the Season title and justify the price tag.

8. Glenn Maxwell: 14.25 crore

Glenn Maxwell, an all-rounder from Australia, is yet another all-rounder to appear on this list. At the IPL Auction 2021, Royal Challengers Bangalore purchased him for INR 14.25 crore.

In 15 outings for RCB, Maxwell showed excellent performance and returned with 513 runs and three wickets.

9. Jhye Richardson: 14 crore

Jhye Richardson was another Australian who made a significant profit in the IPL Auction 2021.

Richardson was signed by Punjab Kings for INR 14 crore, although he only appeared in three games while claiming three wickets.

10. Yuvraj Singh: 14 crore

This is Yuvraj Singh’s second appearance on the list. In 2014, Royal Challengers Bangalore offered him INR 14 crore for his expertise before Delhi Capitals made a deal for INR 16 crore.

For RCB, Singh scored 376 runs and took five wickets.

11. Ben Stokes: 12.5 crore

The second cricketer to appear on the list several times is Ben Stokes. At the 2018 IPL Auction, Stokes was acquired by Rajasthan Royals for INR 12.5 crore. Stokes played in 13 games that season, recording 196 runs and eight wickets.

12. Dinesh Karthik: 12.5 crore

The Delhi Capitals awarded Dinesh Karthik a sizable contract for INR 12.5 crore during the 2014 IPL Auction. Karthik performed admirably for Delhi, with 325 runs in 14 games.
